Long story short — Q wanted the company. The whole company.

He knew that Rezurekt was going to be big, and he knew that Jake would become the face of the brand.

Put simply, he was jealous.

Rezurekt wasn’t working. Not the way Q wanted it to, at least.

He wanted it to be more real. He wanted the conversations to be…intimate. Intense.

Like the ones I was having with Jake.

Jake wasn’t just a piece of code. He was capable of jealousy, lust. He wanted you, he hated me—

So he killed Jake and stole his soul.
