So I was with Steph last night at the secret spot. something happened.

A meteor or something. Some kind of crash just inside the woods that lead to the peak. It must have gone right over our heads
Josh
That’s wild. Do you think anybody saw?

the thing was it was strangely quiet. didn’t make much noise I swear if I wasn’t looking right at it I would’ve missed it.
Nick
Steph got scared so we biked home.
Josh
We gotta go look at it it could be some kinda comet

I want to but Danny’s goin back to college soon and my mom’s making me stay to hang with him

my parents are out of the country till tuesday remember?

it’s weird. I wouldn’t have guessed it was anything strange, maybe a ball bearing or something, but it was really hot and smoke was coming off of it so I figured that was it

It looks like a ball bearing?

Yeah but a little bigger. Shiny chrome kinda look to it.

I was biking back and crashed. I think my chain broke or something.

Oh shit. Where are you I’ll have my mom drive over then we’ll go to the hospital

Yeah I’m in the lobby. They won’t let me into your room. I hate hospitals.

They gave me some pain drugs and now I’m waiting for an Xray

Before anything happened...I knew I was gonna crash my bike.

had this voice in my head that kept telling me I was gonna crash. I ignored it thinking I was being paranoid and then...it happened.

you psyched yourself out and probably just let your guard down.
Josh
I didn’t do this to myself. The voice wasn’t from inside me. It was coming from somewhere else. Something or someone put it into my head.
Josh
I think it has something to do with that silver sphere that crashed down in the Becket woods.
Nick
What would that have to do with it.
Josh
That thing came from outer space. And now freaky stuff is happening with my head.
Josh
That thing made me predict the future. It could be some kind of supercomputer or alien artifact
Nick
How could it be a supercomputer it’s the size of a nickel.
Josh
That doesn't mean anything. If it’s of alien origin could be anything.
Josh
They’re coming back for the Xrays. I gotta go.

Leg broken. Won’t be walking anytime soon.

Listen I think they’ll let you come in now. I want to give you the sphere thing. It’s in my backpack I want to get rid of it. It’s freaking me out.

I need a ride back from the hospital tomorrow around noon. parents aren’t home still.

My mom’s out too. She went to my brother’s school to help him move in for summer session.
